STAQS is a community group that campaigns against the detrimental impact that aviation noise and airport expansion has on local communities. We have a seat on the Luton Airport Consultative Committee (LLACC) and its Noise and Track Sub-Committee (NTSC), which meet quarterly to discuss issues affecting local communities. We are also members of various national campaign, environmental and lobbying groups and work closely with our allies to obtain the very best outcomes possible for the communities we represent.
We are all volunteers, who give our time for free but we need donations of cash to buy expertise. We are not experts in aviation and our biggest costs come from having to seek specialist advice on matters of noise, planning and legal matters. We work collaboratively with other campaign groups and cost share wherever possible to limit expenditure and make every single penny that we raise count.
